My
Classmates'
Quirky
English
Names
In
my
class,
we
have
some
really
unique
English
names.
Some
of
them
are
funny,
some
are
confusing,
and
some
are
just
downright
strange.
But
no
matter
what,
they
definitely
make
our
class
stand
out.
First
off,
we
have
Jerry.
Sounds
pretty
normal,
right?
But
when
you
realize
that
Jerry
is
actually
a
girl,
it
throws
you
off
a
bit.
She
said
she
chose
the
name
because
she
loved
the
character
Jerry
from
Tom

when
she
was
a
kid.
Fair
enough.
Then
there's
Blade.
It's
not
his
real
name,
of
course,
but
he
insists
that
everyone
call
him
that.
He
says
it
makes
him
sound
tough
and
mysterious,
even
though
he's
actually
one
of
the
nicest
guys
in
our
class.
It's
definitely
an
interesting
choice.
Next
up
is
Beryl.
When
she
introduced
herself
on
the
first
day
of
class,
we
were
all
a
bit
confused.
It
sounds
more
like
an
old
lady
name
than
a
teenager's
name.
But
Beryl
says
it's
a
family
name,
and
she's
actually
proud
of
it.
And
finally,
there's
Pixie.
She's
got
bright
pink
hair
and
wears
fairy
wings
to
school
sometimes,
so
her
name
definitely
suits
her.
But
when
the
teacher
calls
roll
and
says
"Pixie,"
everyone
turns
to
look
at
her
and
she
has
to
wave
to
show
she's
here.
All
in
all,
my
classmates'
quirky
English
names
definitely
add
some
flavor
to
our
class.
They
may
be
a
bit
strange,
but
they
make
us
all
smile.
